B. Grimm School was founded in 1968 under the Royal Initiative of the late Princess Mother of HM King Bhumibol. Mr. Herbert Link, one of the member of founding family, along with his wife, Mrs. Alma Link was such a major patron during the establishment of the school that the Princess Mother generously named the school “B.Grimm School” after the company.
At B.Grimm Group, we are proud of the existence of B.Grimm School for its long association with the company and more importantly, its role in providing basic education to our children, especially those in the border area between Thailand and Cambodia. Unlike the well-paved road today, Aranyaprathet District where the school is situated was then very remote and difficult to access. Needless to say, the opportunities to basic education for these children have made a world of difference to their livelihood and future until these days.
Today, B.Grimm School is a public school enlisted under the Office of the National Primary Education Commission, Ministry of Education, and thus is entitled to government support. It has grown from a 1-storey school taught by border police into an establishment with 3 buildings with over 300 students and 16 teachers. In addition to academic credentials, the school also enhances students’ life skills and trains them on the issues close to home such as fish farming, making organic fertilizers, painting, etc.
In 2000, B.Grimm School Support Club was founded to carry out the activities for B.Grimm and A.H. Link Schools. It has been actively participated by generations of B.Grimm employees who share the same compassion to give to the society and make a difference in the students’ lives. The company continues to provide support in forms of funds, school supplies, scholarships, music and sport equipments and many more. Our annual visit to the school is not only an opportunity for the school to receive yearly contributions but also a chance to showcase the employee involvement in all activities. Their involvement has been tremendously important in maintaining and developing the bond between the company and the school.
